Vällingby metro station

Vällingby is an aboveground station Stockholm subway below the satellite city Vällingby Centrum. It is located in Vällingby district. The station is served by the Gröna linjen the Stockholm subway system. It is among the most frequented stations of the metro network. On a normal working day 10,000 commuters to climb here.

The station was put into operation on 26 October 1952 as the metro section Hötorget Vällingby was inaugurated and was until 1 November 1956, the end of the line T19. This was extended in 1956 gård to station Hässelby. The station has four tracks on two platforms at the platforms each holding trains in only one direction. When the station is not directly a aboveground station, as it lies partly in the tunnel. The tunnel leads beneath the Vällingby Centre through and comes after about 200 m into the light again. The station is located between the stations Råcksta and Johannelund. Stockholm Central Station, there are about eleven kilometers.
