Vals criollo

Called within Peru's most ' Vals Criollo ' or ' Valse ' - - The Vals peruano is a Peruvian music and dance style in the slow 3/4-time (Spanish el vals = the waltz ). He is mostly sung and includes the topics of love, life and country. This musical change the harmonies consistently between major and minor. It is played mostly with one or more guitars, but can also be played in a small orchestra, including percussion. The singer leads the melody.

Strong influence was a native of the white middle class in Lima Vals from the Afro- Peruvian culture, with influence in rhythm ( = cajón instrument in the form of a wooden box ) and songs.
