Vancouver Film Studios

The Vancouver Film Studios is a film production center in the Canadian city of Vancouver. It is the largest facility of its kind in North America outside of Los Angeles. The company is owned by the McLean Group. The film studio complex is located in the east of the city next to the Trans-Canada Highway, it includes thirteen studios and several outbuildings.

History

The McLean Group acquired at the beginning of the 1980s, the site, which was still being used by numerous small industrial and commercial enterprises. Costco Canada and Roots Canada are the only companies that have remained to this day on the premises. With the purchase of Northstar International Studios, the McLean Group rose in 1987 in the movie business. By 1995, adjoining buildings and land were purchased on the site in Vancouver. The first productions began in 1998 after the name change to Vancouver Film Studios. The first new building was purchased in 2000. By 2003, followed by five more new studio building.

Building

Vancouver Film Studios has thirteen studios and several warehouses, office buildings, residential accommodation and movie scenes.

Building A

A building which has two studios, along with offices and warehouses. The floor area is 2,586 m2. Studio A1 and A2 has 1160 m2 and 1400 m2.

Building B

Vancouver Film Studios Ltd. bought the building in 1997. Previously elevators were built in the building. 2001, the building was completely renovated and includes two production offices and two studios, each with 1,400 m2 and a 430 m2 of construction area.

Building C

Administrative building of the Vancouver Film Studios and Production Support pacific. It has a certified heliport on the roof. It is approved for private air travel and is operated by the Air Studio Group.

Building D

The building was completed in 1987 and has an area of 2,069 m2.

Building E

Was bought in 1997 and has been renovated. It has offices.

Building F

The studio serves as the main film studio and has an area of ​​approximately 2,400 m2. It has a studio next to a large hall and plenty of open space. It is located on the 3696 Cornett Road.

Building G

Is a large hall which was completed in 2000 after the previously existing building was demolished.

Building H & I

Each have a studio with an area of ​​approximately 1,400 m2 each. It is located on the 3625 East 11th Avenue.

Building J

Is the largest building production facilities and an area of ​​approximately 3,700 m2. It was completely renovated in August 2001.

Building K

Has a hall with 5,100 m2.

Building L

Is a warehouse with 930 m2.

Building M

Located on the 3645 Grandview Highway, which is equipped with a studio, offices 2,943 m2, and has rotary preparation rooms for the actors as well as other facilities.

Building N

Is a pure office building.
