North Shore Studios
The North Shore Studios (formerly Lions Gate Studios ) is a large movie production studio, which is located north of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The Studio, like the Vancouver Film Studios the largest studio in North America. From Downtown Vancouver, it takes approximately 20 minutes by car and about 30 minutes from the Vancouver Airport to the property. The studios were 2006 Bosa Development Corp.. sold.
In recent years, the North Shore Studios have been extended. These studios, which are also known under the name Mammoth studios have three major production halls and other buildings. These limits directly to the existing facilities of the North Shore Studios. Thus, the North Shore Studios will feature eleven production facilities.
Building
The studio complex has eight stages ( production halls ), in addition, a number of office and administrative buildings and other facilities. The Stage 1 has an area of 1,354 m2, the Stages 2, 3 and 6 an area of 1,345 m2 each, the Stages 4 and 5 each 1,023 m2 and the Stages 7 and 8 1,908 m2 each.
