Vanessa Warwick

Vanessa Warwick is a music producer and production manager. You will be responsible for numerous documentaries, video clips, artist portraits and TV productions. She was known primarily for the music program Headbanger's Ball, which she presented at the beginning of the 90s. Vanessa Warwick was also since 1990 with Ricky Warwick, the singer of the rock band The Almighty, married.

Professional career

The time at MTV

First, Vanessa Warwick played in several bands and worked as a manager and production assistant, wrote occasionally for music magazines such as Metal Hammer and Metal Forces, worked for several record companies and took over freelancing activities such as promotion or marketing. Through her varied work she quickly made a name for himself and landed a job in 1989 as a production assistant at the British regional station MTV Europe. Only two years later, she became part of a producer and presenter of music show Headbanger's Ball, exclusively the areas dedicated to metal and hard rock. Over a period of seven years, she hosted this show and slipped increasingly into the role of producer and production manager. One of the shows, which she headed the meantime, MTV Select was.

After Headbanger's Ball was deleted from the music program, she left MTV in 1997 to accept a position as series producer and production manager. Then she co-authored with Steve Beebee the book MTV Headbanger's Ball · Chaos AD: Rock In The Nineties. The photographs for the book were contributed by Ross Halfin.

Company Formation

Shortly after Vanessa Warwick founded her own production company. One of the first was commissioned by Sony Music Entertainment. Sony asked Vanessa Warwick to an Electronic Press Kit ( EPK ) to advance the career of Ricky Martin on an international level. The EPK production succeeded and finally unearthed Martins breakthrough. Vanessa Warwick has since worked with many artists and produced numerous portraits and documentaries.

Way to success

In August 1999, she founded the Special Music Projects Dept. at Chrysalis TV (now North One TV). A few months later she created and co-produced a Latino Pop Special for Channel 4 under the title Latino Loco. The broadcast reported on Latino artists such as Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Carlos Santana, Enrique Iglesias and the hitherto relatively unknown singer Shakira. Moderated the show in Miami Julio Iglesias Jnr.

Parallel to this, she led the EPK - productions with her company continued and produced documentaries for David Gray, Craig David, Kylie Minogue, Coldplay, Luciano Pavarotti or Russell Watson. In addition, she managed the production of about 12 video clips for various artists such as Motorhead or Hayley Westenra. In 2001, the 25th Anniversary Concert ( Live @ Brixton Academy) by Motörhead was recorded under their direction. The first, published in 2003 video turned out to be box office hit and is considered one of the bestselling videos of the SPV.

In addition, she worked with Dido, The Rasmus and Rod Stewart, and then realized her collaboration with Madonna.
