The Wantsch (Russian Ванч ) is a right tributary of the Panj in the autonomous province of Gorno-Badakhshan in the east of Tajikistan.

The Wantsch has its origin in the glaciers of the northern flank of Wantsch chain northwest of the Pik Abu Ali Ibn Sino. It flows initially a piece in a northwesterly direction, then turns southwest and flows through a deep valley of the Pamir Mountains. To the mouth of the river is also called Kaschalajak Abdukagor. The valley of the Wantsch separates the northerly Darwas chain from the south running Wantsch chain. The Wantsch has a length of 103 km. It drains an area of 2070 km ².
