Vanløse IF

Vanløse Idrætsforening is a Danish football club from the district of Copenhagen Vanløse.

History

The club was founded in 1921 played two years in the highest Danish league. At the end of the 1975 season VIF in 8th place. Just one year later VIF was relegated as Table.

Achievements

1974 was the most successful athletic year in club history. VIF succeeded the first-time promotion to the 1st Division and won the second division of the national cup with a 5-2 win against Odense BK.

By the Cup victory VIF was entitled to participation in the European Cup Winners' Cup of the season 1974/75. There, the team already retired on the first lap with 1:4 and 0:4 against Benfica.
