Vardanes I of Parthia

Vardanes was a Parthian king who ruled from 38 to 45 AD. He was the brother of King Gotarzes II with whom he clashed for control of the Parthian Empire. Gotarzes II, who should probably originally reign as sole king, and fell on its atrocities so that the Parthians Vardanes levied as anti-king.
