Varius Manx is a Polish pop band.

History

It was founded in 1989 in Łódź by musician Robert Janson. A year later came their first album The Beginning. The debut consisted entirely of instrumental music. In 1993, the second album The New Shape, among other things, on the then Robert Janson, Robert Amirian and some guest musicians such as, inter alia, Edyta Bartosiewicz with her vocals contributed to the new album.

In 1994, with the album EMU - Kto jest tu emu? ( dt, 'Who is this an emu ?' ) for the first time a major change to. Since then the band has a lead singer, Anita Lipnicka, and also Polish language songs in their repertoire. Since then the band has had a few of their biggest successes. EMU and the follow-up album ELF - Elf który kradnie serca ( dt, 'A elf who steals the heart ') sold up to 500,000 times. In 1995 the band received a Fryderyk for the best Polish group of the year and it followed then to participate in the production of a soundtrack to the film Młode wilki, where she contributed a majority of the songs that originated in part from the album ELF.

In 1996, Varius Manx as a guest on the show Szansa na sukces ( dt: A chance of success '), a Polish Karaoke Show, be nachgesungen in the songs of the bands present. In May 2001, Monika Kuszyńska became the new singer. In 2005, Varius Manx at the Festival of Polish Music in Opole entitled Bezimienna part. In May 2006, the band crashed during a tour near the city Milicz ( Milich ), with singer Monika Kuszyńska and Robert Janson were seriously injured. Despite all that followed in June 2006, the DVD Ona ma Sile ( dt: She has power ', the title is a passage from the album EMU ) and in July the single Tyle SILY mam ( dt ,' So much power I '). In the music video for the single, the athlete Otylia Jędrzejczak took the place of the injured singer. Further, the captured before the accident acoustic album Varius Manx Symfonicznie was in November 2006 - Tyle SILY mam published. After that, the band hired all activities. 2010 Varius Manx parted and the singers Monika Kuszyńska that it was caused by the accident permanent damage. Followed in 2010 Anna Józefina Lubieniecka as a singer on Monika Kuszyńska and the work of the band was resumed. 2011, the ELI album was released, in which also participated Anita Lipnicka as a songwriter.

2013 ended Anna Lubieniecka their activity in the band to start a solo career. On Lubieniecka followed in May 2013, the singer Edi Ann ( Edyta Kuczyńska ) with the band in the summer of 2013 the song Mamy siebie ahora ( now we ) published. The song was presented at the Festival of Polish Music in Opole in June 2013 and the accompanying music video was shot in the founding city of Łódź band.
