Vasile Bizău

Vasile bizau (born 14 October 1969 in Dragomireşti ) is a Romanian priest and Bishop of Maramureş.

Life

Vasile bizau received on 31 August 1997, the ordination. The Synod appointed him on 20 June 2007 as Auxiliary Bishop in Fagaras and Alba Iulia. Pope Benedict XVI. confirmed him on 27 October 2007 and appointed him titular bishop of Appiaria. He received his episcopal consecration of the Major Archbishop of Fagaras and Alba Iulia, Lucian Mureşan, on 16 December of the same year; Co-consecrators were Florentin Crihalmeanu, Bishop of Cluj- Gherla, and Ioan Şişeştean, Bishop of Maramureş.

On 11 June 2011 he was confirmed as Bishop of Maramureş and introduced into the office on 23 July of the same year.
