Vaughn Taylor (actor)
Everett Vaughn Taylor ( born February 22, 1910 in Boston, Massachusetts, † April 26, 1983 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American actor.
Life and career
Vaughn Taylor is a graduate of Northeastern University. In 1933 he made his film debut in The Man with the camera, but he had his next role until 1946, when he worked in the early years mainly in the theater. In the 1950s he established himself as a television performer with numerous guest appearances, noteworthy are mainly four appearances in the Mysteryseerie Twilight Zone. He had more appearances in The Untouchables, The Wild Wild West and Perry Mason. His great, gaunt figure moved him to boring or spiteful figures usually higher education degree. Several times he played judges, supervisors, pastors or doctors. He was nominated in 1952 and 1953 for the Emmy for Best Actor. In the film, he was a proficient Supporting Actor. His most famous role is a brief appearance as Marion Crane in Psycho boss. Other films were Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with Elizabeth Taylor and Jailhouse Rock - Jailhouse Rock on the side of Elvis Presley.
Overall, Taylor stepped up to his death in about 175 films and television series. He was married to his death with Ruth Moss.
