Vault-de-Lugny

Vault-de -Lugny is a French municipality with 321 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the arrondissement of Avallon in Yonne department of Burgundy.

History

The west of the town of Avallon located in the wooded Morvan area town was founded at a ford of the River Cousin just before its confluence with the Cure in Givry and was regarded as a major checkpoints of the Dukes of Burgundy, the well with the water castle of Vault-de -Lugny the movement of goods in the region supervised.
