Vegan Society

The Vegan Society ( German: " Vegan Society ") is a UK registered organization that supports veganism.

The Vegan Society was founded on November 1, 1944 by Donald Watson in the UK as the first company of this kind. They introduced the concept of a vegan for those vegetarians who still consume no eggs or dairy products, other animal products.

The anniversary of the foundation is since 1994 as Weltvegantag (English: World Vegan Day ) is celebrated internationally.
