Veisiejai

Veisiejai is a Lithuanian town in the Rajongemeinde Lazdijai and is located approximately 19 km southeast of Lazdijai. The resulting in the 15th century manor house in the field of later church was first mentioned in 1501. The first mention of the city took place in the first half of the 16th century.

In the city there is the Directorate of the Regional Park Veisiejai, built in the 1817 Catholic Church, the estate Veisiejai with parking, a gymnasium, the facilities for children " Ąžuoliukas ", a library (since 1937), a post office, a forestry department and a national museum. In the lake ANCIA is since 2008 the sole Lithuanian lake fountain with light installations.
