Venedikt Yerofeyev

Venedikt Erofeev Vasilyevich (Russian Венедикт Васильевич Ерофеев, scientific transliteration Venedikt Vasil'evič Erofeev, born October 24, 1938 in Kirovsk; † 11 May 1990 in Moscow) was a Russian writer.

Life

Erofeev was the son of a product originating from the Volga region stationmaster. He finished school with a gold medal and was educated at the Philological Faculty of Moscow State University in Moscow. After his expulsion from the university because of military exercises Versäumens 1957 he first visited briefly the Pedagogical Institute in Vladimir, but was as a leader of a student group called The priest soon the city referenced.
