Vennaskond

Vennaskond is an Estonian punk band.

Band

Vennaskond ( German Society ) was founded in 1984. She refers to herself as a band that is committed to the New Romantic and Charles Fourier. Because of their anarchist body of thought the group was exposed in the Soviet Union reprisals. The leading members had to dodge to Finland in 1991 and returned only with restoration of Estonian independence back in their homeland.

Vennaskond is today one of the most famous Estonian bands ever. They enjoyed great success abroad. Tours have taken the band include Germany, Finland, Sweden and the USA.

Members

The composition of the group has since its founding in 1984, always varied. The only permanent member since then, bandleader and singer Tõnu Trubetsky, also known as Tony Blackplait. Other long-standing and important members Vennaskonds were the guitarist Allan Vainola ( 1990-1996 and 1998-2006 ), anti Pathique (1989 to 1996 and 2002 to 2005), bassist Mait Vaik ( 1989-1996 ), violinist Camille Camille ( 1993-1998 ) and the accordionist Ülari Ollik (1990 and 1993-1996 ).
