Vereniging Natuurmonumenten
Vereniging van dead Behoud Natuurmonumenten in Nederland is a Dutch non-profit organization based in 's- Graveland.
The organization was established in 1905 by Jac. P. Thijsse founded. She buys, protects and manages nature reserves in the Netherlands. The first area that the organization bought in 1905, served to protect Naardermeer in North Holland. In 2010 she managed 355 sites with a total area of 1029.51 km ². The largest is De Wieden ( 58.47 km ²), Fort Ellewoutsdijk smallest (0.01 km ²). Its members include 1700 buildings of which 250 are monuments. She had 2010 768.000 members.
