Vernal is a city and county seat of Uintah County in the U.S. state of Utah.

Geography

According to the U.S. Census Bureau Vernal covered an area of 11.9 km ² (4.6 mi ²), including no water surfaces. The place is located in the northern area of ​​the Colorado Plateau and 7 km (4 mi) south of the reservoir Steinacker, on Highway 191 and 40, about 20 miles west of Dinosaur National Monument.
