Vernon Carrington

Vernon Carrington ( November 1, 1936 *, † March 22, 2005 ) founded in 1968, the Faith Movement Twelve Tribes ( Twelve Tribes of Israel), a branch of the Rastafari movement. He was also known as Prophet Gad.

The members of the Twelve Tribes of see Carrington as a prophet who began the repatriation of Rastafari to their homeland Africa.

As an essential motto was narrated by him: " Read your Bible a chapter a day from Genesis 1 to Revelation 22 and find the truth for themselves."
