Veronica Calabrese

Veronica Calabrese ( born November 7, 1987 in Werdohl ) is an Italian Taekwondoin. It starts in the weight class up to 57 kg.

Calabrese celebrated their first successes at junior level. In the under-52 kilograms, they won at the Junior World Championship in 2002 in Heraklion bronze, in the class up to 59 kg, it was 2003 in Athens, European Junior and 2004 Junior World Champion in Suncheon. In the adult area Calabrese debuted in 2005. At the European Championships in Riga, she reached the quarter-finals at the World Championships in Madrid the next round. The following year they finally won bronze in Bonn with their first European medal. Calabrese qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. They only lost in the semifinals against Lim Su- jeong and missed a medal after another defeat in the battle for bronze against Diana Lopez scarce. At the World Championships in Copenhagen in 2009 they reached the final and won her first World Cup silver medal at the 2010 European Championships in St Petersburg its second European Championship bronze medal.

Calabrese is a sports soldier. In 2010 she was in Saint -Jean -sur -Richelieu military world champion at lightweight.
