Veronica Roth

Veronica Roth ( born August 19, 1988 in New York City ) is an American writer.

Life

Veronica Roth is from the Chicago suburb of Barrington. She studied creative writing at Northwestern University and completed her studies in 2010. At the age of 20, she began writing her first novel, which appeared in 2011 under the title Divergent. The book spent several weeks on the New York Times bestseller list and was published in 2012 under the title The provision in German language. After the second part of the trilogy, Insurgent is to be completed in 2013 with the third part Allegiant. With Determination - Divergent the film adaptation of the first novel in the cinema was published in 2014.

Until March 2013 its global edition amounted to 2.6 million books.
