Vesna Vulović

Vesna Vulović ( Serbian Cyrillic Весна Вуловић; born January 3, 1950) is a former Yugoslav stewardess who falls from 10,050 feet above supposedly lived on 26 January 1972 which was recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Vesna Vulović was a stewardess with Yugoslav airline JAT. On January 26, 1972, she was scheduled to fly aboard a machine of the type Douglas DC -9 ( Flight JU 367) from Stockholm via Kastrup to Zagreb and Belgrade. However, the plane crashed above the village Srbská Kamenice ( Czechoslovakia, now Czech Republic) from near the border with East Germany. The Yugoslav authorities accused Croatian extremists to have caused the crash of the machine with a smuggled on board bomb.
