The Canal de la Vésubie derives the river water
The Vésubie is a mountain river in France, which runs in the region Provence- Alpes -Cote d' Azur in the Alpes - Maritimes. It rises in the Mercantour National Park, on the western flank of Mont Colomb ( 2816 m), in the eastern municipality of Saint -Martin- Vésubie. The Vésubie attracts a large loop through the Maritime Alps, but drains generally in a southwesterly direction and opens after 45 kilometers across from Bonson, near the hamlet of La Riviere, on the municipal boundary of Levens and Utelle, as a left tributary of the Var.
