Victims of Communism Memorial

Memorial to the Victims of Communism (English: Victims of Communism Memorial ) is a political monument in Washington, DC, USA, near the Capitol, which commemorates the 100 million victims of socialist and communist regimes. It includes a three-meter- high bronze replica of the Goddess of Democracy, which was built by students during protests on Tiananmen Square in Beijing in 1989.

The inauguration of the monument took place by the then U.S. President George W. Bush on June 12, 2007.

Law Foundation

The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation is a non-profit educational organization. It was created by an Act of Congress to a memorial in Washington, DC to build for the said of the organization 100 million victims of communism. The Foundation is to educate this and future generations about the history, philosophy and heritage of the communist tyranny.

A project of the Foundation that the monument is the Global Museum on Communism (English: Global Museum on Communism ), an online museum about the crimes of socialist and communist regimes, the Victims of Communism and the ideological foundations of communist rule.
