Victor André Cornil
Victor André Cornil (also: André -Victor Cornil, born June 17, 1837 in Cusset, Allier, † April 13, 1908 ) was a French pathologist and histologist.
Cornil studied medicine in Paris, where he received his doctorate in 1864. In 1865 he founded with Louis -Antoine Ranvier a private laboratory.
His research interests were pathological anatomy, bacteriology, histology and microscopic anatomy.
In 1870, he was a short time prefect of his native department. Later he became a deputy.
