Victor Brailovsky

Victor Brailovsky (Hebrew ויקטור בריילובסקי; * December 27, 1935 in Moscow ) is a former Israeli politician.

Life

As a Soviet citizen he was a refusenik from 1972 to 1987, he was from 1981 to 1984 Prisoner of Zion. In 1987 he was allowed to immigrate to Israel, where he worked as a professor of mathematics and computer science at the University of Tel Aviv. In the 15th and 16th legislative period he was member of the Knesset: 1999-2006 for the Shinui and 2006 for the Chilonit Zionit. In 2004 he was Minister of Science and Technology.
