Victor Tsyplakov

Viktor Vasilyevich Zyplakow (Russian Виктор Васильевич Цыплаков; born December 9, 1937 in Moscow, Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player, who has been working end of his career as a hockey coach.

Career

Viktor Zyplakow played from 1955 to HK Lokomotiv Moscow in the top division of the Soviet Union and reached with his team in 1961 to third place in the championship. 1967 and 1969 Lokomotiv Moscow won the Spengler Cup.

Between 1972 and 1974 he went for the EC KAC from Austria on the ice and scored in 65 games for the EC 61 goals. He also won in 1973 and 1974 with the EC KAC, the Austrian Championship.

After this success, he returned to Moscow and still played until 1976 for locomotive. Up to end of his career, he completed 530 in the top division of the Soviet Union, in which he scored 263 goals ..

In 1969 he was honored as the Honored Master of Sports of the USSR.

After his resignation, he was ice hockey coach and coached among others Lokomotiv Moscow. Today he works as a youth coach at HK Spartak Moscow.

Internationally

Zyplakow played for the Soviet national team at the World Ice Hockey Championships in 1961, where he scored one goal in five games and won the bronze medal. Overall, he brought it to 1960-1964 to eleven internationals.
