Victor Veselago
Viktor Georgijewitsch Wesselago, even in the spelling Victor Veselago known ( * 1929 in the Ukrainian SSR, now Ukraine ) is a Russian theoretical physicist.
Field of work
Wesselago said in 1967 the existence of materials with negative refractive indices before. He opened the completely new field of metamaterials. Later succeeded John Pendry of Imperial College London and David Smith of the University of California at San Diego, the production of such materials.
