Victoria Peak (Belize)

The Victoria Peak is 1120 meters, the second highest mountain in Belize and part of the Cockscomb Range in the Maya Mountains. Until a few years he was regarded as the highest peaks in the country, but recent geophysical measurements showed that Doyle 's Delight is higher by 4 meters. Nevertheless, the Victoria Peak is commonly known as the highest mountain in Belize.

For several years, tours are offered, whose goal is the attainment of the summit; these tours are not valued as all too demanding, but very exhausting.

The Victoria Peak is located in the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, a nature reserve, where the flora and fauna are still quite intact. The first exploration of the mountain in 1888 /89, a British expedition team, but was mistakenly boarded a neighboring peaks.
