De Video Kids was a Disco-/Popduo from the Netherlands, with the Woodpeckers from Space had an international hit in 1985.

Band History

The band emerged in the mid -1980s as one of the many follow-up projects in 1979 resolved band Catapult. Singer of the band was the DJ Peter Slaghuis. Second Member Bianca Bonelli was previously in the band Sam & Joan Company and with the solo hit Je veux l' amour - had been successful, Follow Me. Producers of the band were Adams / Fleisner who worked with Digital Emotion ( "Go Go Yellow Screen" ) and similar projects.

With the debut single Woodpeckers from Space of 1984 the band had a huge international success. In Germany and Switzerland, the song was a top ten hit in Norway and the song even reached number 1

More singles and two albums thereafter remained unsuccessful, so that the video Kids are a one - hit wonder.
