Vielha e Mijaran
Vielha ( aran.; catalan Viella i Mijaran or Catalan with G Aran ) is a Catalan city in the province of Lleida, in northeastern Spain. It is the capital of the comarca of Val d' Aran.
Geography
The city is located in the Val d' Aran, a central Pyrenean valley about 120 km north of Lleida on the upper reaches of the Garonne River and at the foot of Maladeta massif. The watershed runs through the district.
Boroughs
The town was founded in 1970 by the merger of places Arròs e Vila, Betlan, Escunhau, Gausac, Vielha and Vilac. The main town is Vielha.

Economy and infrastructure
Most important source of income is tourism. Main activities are hiking, horseback riding, mountain climbing and winter sports, in particular in Baqueira -Beret, the largest ski area in the Pyrenees and the whole of Spain
