BW

The Viereggenhöfer pond is a pond in the city of Wismar in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern. The southern part belongs to the municipality Dorf Mecklenburg. The water is a little broken and lies in a flat Toteisdepression which vermoorte in the post-glacial period. Two small peninsulas protrude from the west or north into the waters. The pond has a north- south length of about 800 meters and a maximum east-west extent of about 620 meters. Larger parts of the pond shore, especially in the south are mostly swampy and verschilft. South of the body of water runs the Wallenstein ditch with which the pond is connected by a ditch. The Viereggenhöfer pond is part of the nature reserve pond area Wismar Kluß. At the pond there is a small garden area and near several smaller ponds.
