Viktor Wagner

Viktor Vladimirovich Wagner (Russian Виктор Владимирович Вагнер; * November 4, 1908 in Saratov, † 15 August 1981) was a Russian mathematician who worked on geometry.

Wagner studied at the Moscow State University in Moscow, where he received his doctorate in Veniamin Kagan. He became professor of geometry at the University of Saratov. He worked on differential geometry and semigroups. In 1952 he founded the study of inverse semigroups.

In 1937 he received the Lobachevsky Medal.
