Viktor Zhluktov

Viktor Vasilyevich Schluktow (Russian Виктор Васильевич Жлуктов; born January 29, 1954 in Inta, Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player.

Career

His career began in 1972/73 at HK CSKA Moscow. In all, he scored 198 goals in 456 games in the Soviet league. Early on, he was appointed to the team of the Soviet national ice hockey team. On November 11, 1975, he was in a game against Czechoslovakia for the first time for the Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with the gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games in 1976. In 1980 he won the silver medal with his team at the legendary Miracle on Ice. In 1978 he was inducted into the "Russian Hockey Hall of Fame". NHL Entry Draft 1982, he was selected in the 7th round to 143 place by the Minnesota North Stars.
