Viktoriya Tokareva

Viktoriya Samoilowna Tokarewa (Russian Виктория Самойловна Токарева, scientific transliteration Viktorija Samojlovna Tokareva; born November 20, 1937 in Leningrad ) is a Russian writer and screenwriter who has become best known for stories.

Biography

Viktoriya Tokarewa was born on 20 November 1937 as the daughter of a Leningrad engineer. In 1958 she completed her studies at the Leningrad Academy of Music in piano. In 1969 she obtained a further degree at the State All-Union Institute of Cinematography in trade scenario. While working as a singing teacher at a music school for children and later as a television editor, she began to write. In 1964 her first story day without lies ( День без вранья ). As a result, she was offered a script for a film project to write. So in 1968 appeared her first film literature hour ( Урок литературы ) on the canvas. More stories have been published in the following years in the leading Soviet literary journals Junost and Novy Mir. 1969 came out her first book, About what was not ( том О, чего не было ), were collected in the elderly, but also new stories. In the 1970s and 1980s Tokarewas works were rarely printed. Between 1969 and 1991, as published only four books. Nevertheless, their stories have become classics of Soviet literature. In the first 15 years after the collapse of the Soviet system more than 10 volumes of old and new stories Tokarewas published. Viktoriya Tokarewa lives in Moscow.
