Vilém Petrželka

Vilém Petrželka ( born September 10, 1889 in Brno, † January 10, 1967 ) was a Czech composer.

Petrželka was a student of Leoš Janáček, Vítězslav Novák and Karel Hoffmeister. From 1914 he taught composition at the Conservatory, the Janácek Academy and the School of the Philharmonic Society in Brno.

He composed an opera and symphonic drama, four symphonies and two sinfoniettas, chamber works, cantatas, choral works and songs.
