The Vilicher Bach is a stream in Bonn, municipality Beuel. Its total length is 8.6 km, its catchment area covers 9.8 square kilometers. The lake is partially referred to as mill creek, brook and Holtorfer Wielenbach.

Course

The Vilicher Bach created in belonging to Holtorf district Ungarten and drains in a northwesterly direction. First, it passes the village Niederholtorf, then crosses Holzlar and heads northeast past Pützchen - Bechlinghoven. North of Beuel opens the Vilicher Bach then the right side of the Rhine.

Characteristics

The Vilicher creek crosses next to farmland and residential areas with dispersed buildings and displays in this area often as a developed and partly also piped water. Near-natural structures are found only in a renatured section in the region of the mill brook hall at Vilich - Müldorf. The creek is affected by discharges of storm water and from the combined sewer system and is therefore, according to Water Quality Report 2002 assigned partially grade IV, which corresponds to an excessive pollution. On the other hand, the upper reaches to a much more positive water quality that even the Grade I-II and thus corresponds to a short section of a small load. The normal discharge flow of the creek Vilicher is 7 to 54 liters per second, but at high tide can rise up to 3.5 m³.

During low rainfall climatic phases of the grave -like -developed lower reaches of the water which falls partly dry.
