Vincenzo Di Mauro

Vincenzo Di Mauro ( born December 1, 1951 in Monza ) is an Italian priest, and retired archbishop ad personam of Vigevano.

Life

The Archbishop of Milan, Cardinal Giovanni Umberto Colombo, Di Mauro inaugurated on 12 June 1976 for the priest. Benedict XVI. appointed him on 3 September 2007 Secretary of the Prefecture for the Economic Affairs of the Holy See and Titular Bishop of Arpi.

He received his episcopal consecration, the Pope personally on September 29th of the same year; Co-consecrators were Tarcisio Cardinal Bertone SDB Evasio Pietro, Cardinal Secretary of State and Cardinal Chamberlain, and Marian Cardinal Jaworski, Archbishop of Lviv.

As a motto chose Di Mauro Super omnia caritas. On 22 November 2010 he was appointed ad personam Koadjutorerzbischof of Vigevano. Following the resignation of Claudio Bagginis he followed him on 12 March 2011 after the Bishop of Vigevano. From his office he resigned on July 21, 2012 for health reasons.
