Vinzelberg is a village in the southwest of the district of Stendal, in Saxony -Anhalt ( Germany ). Since April 29, 2010, the formerly independent municipality of the district of Stendal.

Geography

The place Vinzelberg in the south of Altmark is located on the upper lamp, between the towns of Stendal and Gardelegen. Two kilometers southwest of Vinzelberg stems from the Tanger, a left tributary of the Elbe. The area around Vinzelberg is undulating and rises in the south to Colbitz - Letzlinger Heath gradually.

History

Vinzelberg was first mentioned in a 1006 deed, but excavations have close to a much older settlement. The brick church in romanesque style with grave plates from the 16th and 17th century from the year 1867.
