Stendal-Uchtetal

In the management of community - Stendal Uchtetal of the district Stendal 14 municipalities were merged to perform their administrative business. The management community was founded on 1 January 2005 by the merger of the former administrative district of Stendal free community with the 12 municipalities of the disbanded governing community Uchtetal. On 4 August 2005, the community came to the United Schwechten management community. Your seat has the authority in the town of Stendal.

Covering an area of 268 km ² lived 43688 inhabitants (December 31, 2007). Last administrative head of the community was Klaus Schmotz.

The administrative community Stendal Uchtetal in the southeast of Altmark covered the area of the county town of Stendal to the north of the Colbitz - Letzlinger Heath. In this area, the sources of light and of the Tangier lie.

On 1 January 2010, the administrative community was dissolved. The member municipalities (except Dahlen, island and Vinzelberg ) were incorporated to Stendal. Dahlen, island and Vinzelberg will initially co-managed by Stendal.
