Viola Dana

Viola Dana ( born June 26, 1897 in Brooklyn, New York, † July 3, 1987 in Woodland Hills, California, born Virginia Air Rath, also known as Viola flight Rath ) was an American silent film actress.

Dana was the second of three sisters. Her sisters Edna flight Rath and Shirley Mason also worked as actresses. Viola Dana debuted in 1910 in the Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol film. Her first starring role was in 1914 in Molly the Drummer Boy. Dana starred in over 100 movies, preferably comedies. You did not make the leap from silent to sound film. Your last film role she took on in 1929, before she retired from the film business. Your last appearance before a camera she had in a television documentary about Buster Keaton shortly before her death in 1987. Viola Dana was married twice. Both marriages ended in divorce.

At her merits as an actress recalls a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, height 6541 Hollywood Boulevard.
