Virucide

As virucides ("virus killing " ) are substances called that reduce by damage to the viral nucleic acid or of the surface proteins of a virus the infectivity of viruses or completely prevent. They are used for virus inactivation outside of living organisms. Substances used in therapy against viruses is called but not as virucidal, but as antiviral agent. Certified, virucidal preparations are, according to the guidelines of the German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology tested to find VAH List of Disinfectants (Guidelines for the testing of chemical disinfectants).
