Viseon Bus

VISEON is a German bus manufacturer based in Pilsting. It was created in 2008 as VISEON Bus GmbH for the continuation of part of the production of the bus manufacturer Neoplan, after it was bought by the MAN. On April 26, 2013 VISEON filed for bankruptcy.

History

After the MAN Truck & Bus AG had announced in the spring of 2008 to abandon the Neoplan factory in Pilsting, the former head of Nissan CEO Joachim Reinmuth with MAN to continue production under the umbrella of a new company can. To this end, on 1 July 2008, he founded the VISEON Bus GmbH. In February 2009, contracts were signed with MAN. On 1 April 2009 the new company began producing what parts of the plot and the main production building were taken over an area of ​​20,000 square meters of Neoplan. The company continues the production of buses and trolleybuses on the site.

Shareholder

Joachim Reinmuth is managing partner of VISEON Bus GmbH. He holds the majority of shares (61 percent) and is responsible for sales, production and the commercial sector. Another shareholder is Erno Bartha, the former head of the bus technology at MAN. He's since April 1, 2009 as Managing Director for Technology, Purchasing and Quality (39 percent). With a minority stake of approximately ten percent of the MAN Truck & Bus AG held until May 2010.

Business

The VISEON Bus GmbH operates a total of five business segments:

VISEON A-series (airport buses)

Airport Neoplan buses

The special buses for the transport of air passengers between the terminal and aircraft are up to 3.50 m wide and up to 14.70 m long. Depending on the length can thus carry between 70 and 110 passengers. Airport buses have been manufactured under license from Neoplan in Tovarna Vozil Maribor ( TVM) in Slovenia and are produced in Pilsting since 2009.

VISEON C -series ( premium coaches)

VISEON develops, manufactures and markets coaches in top quality and equipment segment under its own brand. This cover as a complement of Neoplan coach program from lengths and heights, which are not available at Neoplan. In early May 2010, the C10, a coach with 10.40 meters in length presents bus operators in Pilsting. Meanwhile, the C11 with 11.4 m length and C13 with 12.7 m in length are available.

VISEON L -series ( buses )

Double decker ( VISEON LDD)

VISEON has the Vison LDD14 presented in 2010 at the IAA Commercial Vehicles. This is available as a 2 -door, 3-door and open- top variant.

Trolleybuses ( VISEON LT)

VISEON produces and sells trolleybuses both as a solo and as an articulated bus.

VISEON S -series ( Individual Busausbauten )

VISEON changed coaches to customer. Offered are multimedia capable, tables, round seating area and floor kitchen and complete remodeling. These vehicles are used for bus traveling in the premium segment or as team coaches in sports.

VISEON develops and manufactures on behalf of Neoplan the new generation of double-decker coach Neoplan Skyliner series.
