Vitali Ivanov

Vitaly Vladimirovich Ivanov (Russian Виталий Владимирович Иванов; born February 3, 1976 in Karl- Marx-Stadt, East Germany ) is a former Russian handball player.

The 1.94 meter tall and 92 kilogram medium back player was last in Medwedi Chekhov under contract. Previously, he played for CSKA Moscow. With these clubs he played for the seasons 2000 /01 to 2009/ 10 in the EHF Champions League 1998/99 Euro -City Cup and the 2005/06 European Cup Winners' Cup.

Vitaly Ivanov scored in 236 appearances for the Russian national team 522 goals (as of January 2012) and was in the squad for the European Handball Championship 2012 He also played at the 2004 Olympic Games, where he won the bronze medal with Russia, and the Olympic Games. 2008 ( 6th place).

In summer 2012, Ivanov ended his career as a handball player and then took over as coach of the second team of Medwedi Chekhov.
