Vitória de Santo Antão is a city in the northeastern Brazilian state of Pernambuco. It lies about 50 kilometers from the Atlantic coast and the capital of Pernambuco, Recife, removed. It has about 126 399 (estimated 2009; according to IBGE ) inhabitants.

Economy

The most important industry is the production of cachaça, Brazilian brandy, sugar obtained from the pipe in the surrounding areas.

Attractions
