Vittorio Ranuzzi de' Bianchi

Vittorio Amedeo Ranuzzi Cardinal de ' Bianchi (* July 14, 1857 in Bologna, Italy, † February 16, 1927 in Rome) was Bishop of Recanati - Loreto and later a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Vittorio Amedeo Ranuzzi de ' Bianchi studied at the University of Bologna trays Catholic theology, philosophy and law. He received his doctorate in both Catholic theology and civil law and canon law. He received on 14 May 1880, the sacrament of Holy Orders, and then worked as a pastor, teacher and spiritual director in Bologna. 1899 he was appointed by Pope Leo XIII. advisor to the Apostolic Nunciature in France and awarded him the title of Pontifical domestic prelates. With one of his last official acts before his death, he was appointed by Pope Leo XIII. on June 22, 1903 Bishop of Recanati - Loreto. The bishop ordained Vittorio Amedeo Ranuzzi de ' Bianchi by Cardinal Vicar Pietro Respighi.

Pope Pius X appointed him titular archbishop of Tyre in 1911 and as head of the Pontifical combing. Pope Benedict XV. appointed him shortly after his election to the Chair of Peter Pontifical Majordomo. On December 4, 1916, he took Vittorio Amedeo Ranuzzi de ' Bianchi as cardinal priest with the titular church of Santa Prisca in the College of Cardinals to. Vittorio Amedeo Ranuzzi Cardinal de ' Bianchi took part in the conclave of 1922. He died on 16 February 1927 in Rome and was buried in the crypt of his family in Bologna.
