Vive la Fête

Vive la Fête is a Belgian band that makes electronic independent music. It was founded in 1997 by Danny Mommens and Els Pynoo in Ghent.

History

1997 got together the former dEUS bassist Danny Mommens and his girlfriend Els Pynoo to make an inspired by the Electroclash Electropop and music. Most of the songs are sung by Pynoo, Mommens plays guitar and also sings on some pieces. Later came Brunin Ben (bass ), Marc Requilé (keyboard) and Jan D' Hooghe (drums) added. Already with their first albums, Attaque Surprise ( 2000) and Republique Populaire (2001) Vive la Fête celebrated, among other things in the fashion world success, so they composed about the music for the 2002 Chanel fashion shows.
