Viverso

Viverso (formerly Viverso GmbH, today: Nuplex Industries GmbH ) was a 100 % subsidiary of Bayer MaterialScience AG and is a producer and marketer of paint raw materials ( alkyd resins, unsaturated polyester resins and hydroxy-functional acrylates ). The company is based in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Saxony- Anhalt. Since October 2011, the parent company is Nuplex Industries Ltd.. based in New Zealand. The direct parent of Nuplex Industries Ltd. is the Nuplex Resins BV in the Netherlands.

History

Viverso was planned as a spin-off from Bayer MaterialScience AG Business Unit CAS ( Coatings, Adhesives, Specialties ) 2007. The new outsourced company should be tailored to the market environment and the customer base for the product groups mentioned above. It is well-engineered products that require little technical service and high quality uniform and must be at the customer with reasonable dispatch. Therefore, an internet platform has been set up on which customers can quickly and easily give up their jobs.

For the seat of the company's plant in Bitterfeld -Wolfen was selected, where existed on the site since 1994 the paint resin plant as a production facility, among other things for the product groups Alkydal ®, Roskydal ® and Desmophen ® A.. The production plant is one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. Viverso took over on 1 January 2008 officially the marketing of Alkydal ®, Roskydal and Desmophen ® A by Bayer Material Science AG.

The first Alkydal ® types were introduced by Bayer MaterialScience already in the 20s and 30s of the 20th century, Roskydal ® is produced since the 50s. Business Model

The Viverso business model is characterized primarily by the exclusive sale of products through its own Internet platform. Production facility

Viverso emerged from the paint resin facility of Bayer Bitterfeld GmbH. This plant began in 1994 on production. Besides the 3 Viverso product groups here, among other things, the lines Bayhydrol ®, Desmophen ® C, Desmophen ® AFS and Desmolux ® range are produced for the Bayer MaterialScience AG. The site has a pilot plant with its experimental facilities and a state- laboratory as well as raw materials and finished product warehouses. Product range

Viverso produces resins that go into the production of a wide variety of surface coatings and putties. These include short-to- oil alkyd resins, polyester resins and different hydroxy Acrylattypen, even high-solid variants.

Alkyd resins

Viverso produces alkyd resins, which are used for production of wood and furniture coatings, parquet and flooring coatings, coatings for exterior wood surfaces, varnishes, lacquers for painting and DIY sector and industrial coatings. Bayer introduced in 1929, the first alkyd resins industrially produced. This coating raw materials are, according to type, in xylene, various gasolines, butyl or methoxy propyl acetate dissolved and became known under the name Alkydal ® worldwide. Viverso sells its alkyd today under this brand name.

Unsaturated polyester resins

Polyester resins Viverso come in wood and furniture coatings - both conventional curing, as well as UV-curing - in film coatings, varnishes for musical instruments and interior design as well as a filling resins fillers for wood, large vehicles, cars, stones and marble used.
