Vivi Bach

Vivi Bach (actually Vivi Bak, Vivienne Bach; born September 3, 1939 in Copenhagen, † April 22, 2013 in Santa Eulalia, Ibiza, Spain) was a Danish singer, actress, television presenter and writer.

Life

Even as a child, the baker's daughter was enthusiastic about singing and dancing - as she appeared as a high school student at a jazz club. After school, Bach began training as a makeup artist, but broke it off and took singing and acting lessons. A first tour as a singer of a band followed. In Copenhagen, she was engaged for smaller theater roles that have been well received in the press.

1956 Bach received her first film role, the other soon followed. In Germany, people became aware of the young Dane; together with Hans -Joachim Kulenkampff she joined in 1959 the first time in a German film. This was followed by mainly shallow music films in which she starred, among others, on the side of Peter Alexander, Rex Gildo, Bill Ramsey, Cc Catch and Gus Backus. She also appeared on such as the spaghetti western, the last two from the Rio Bravo ( Le pistol non discutono, 1964) in some international films.

Bach German singing career began in 1960 with a duet with Rex Gildo at Electrola; However, in the same year, she joined Philips, where with her until 1964, eleven plates were published. The most successful was again a duet, this time with Gerhard Wendland: the German version of the U.S. hit " Hey Paula " by Paul & Paula was entitled " Hey Vivi - Hey Gerhard". It was Bach's only title that could be placed on the German charts. Also the change in 1965 was to Ariola did not chart successes.

An utter failure was the attempt to set up his own film company. Bach produced the thriller The Secret of the red tassel, which was a flop. The positive aspect of this company was meeting with the actor Dietmar Schönherr, whom she married in 1965. Together with Schönherr Bach began a new career as a television presenter.
