Vladimir Dašić

Vladimir Dašić (Cyrillic: Владимир Дашић, born 13 May 1988 in Titograd, Yugoslavia ) is a Montenegrin professional basketball player. He plays on both the position of the power forwards as well as on that of the Small Forwards.

Career

Vladimir Dašić began his career in the youth of Budućnost Podgorica. At age 16 he made ​​his debut in the first team. With Budućnost he won three times the Montenegrin Cup (2007, 2008, 2009 ) and the championship (2006/ 07, 2007/ 08, 2008/ 09). In the summer of 2009 Dašić moved to Spanish club Real Madrid. In February 2010 he was until season's end to Gran Canaria 2014 on loan to gain match practice, but was released after only five games for disciplinary reasons. His contract with Real Madrid was not renewed in the summer of 2010. In October 2010, he was taken by Virtus Roma under contract. In December 2011, the contract was terminated for disciplinary reasons. Shortly thereafter Dašić signed for Slovenian club KK Union Olimpija.

National

Vladimir Dašić won with Serbia and Montenegro, the U18 European Championship in 2005. Currently, he plays for the Montenegrin national team.
